FAQs

Häufig gestellte Fragen zum Produkt

Why are Omega 3 oils important?

Omega 3 oils provide essential fatty acids, which are among the vital macronutrients – they are part of the daily basic care. Our body needs them, but cannot produce them itself. Healthy fats such as EPA and DHA support the normal function of Heart¹, Brain² &eyesight³, contribute to maintaining a healthy triglyceride levels⁴ and are indispensable for the development flexible cell membranes.

In addition, omega-3 fatty acids help to Imbalance due to too much Omega-6 (e.g. from ready-made products) – an important step for a healthy inflammatory process in the body.transport fat-soluble vitamins(A, D, E, K) is not possible without healthy oils.

Our Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil provides you with 1,460 mg EPA and 910 mg DHA per daily dose – from sustainable wild catch, particularly pure & pleasant in taste due to natural Lemon oil– and therefore ideal for anyone who wants to support their well-being in a natural way.

Who should take Omega 3?

No matter whether young or old – the body needs Omega 3 every day. Omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA and DHA are among the essential macronutrients and should therefore be an integral part of the daily Basic care.

They fulfil many important functions in the body – among others as a structural component of the cell membranes. Cell membranes consist largely of fats – including omega-3 fatty acids. EPA and DHA help keep these membranes stable and permeable. Only when these cell membranes remain flexible and functional can cells function optimally and absorb nutrients. This is especially relevant in the heart¹, brain², and eyes³, where these fatty acids are present in high concentrations and can contribute to healthy cell function.

In addition: Our modern Nutrition often contains a excess of omega-6 fatty acids – for example, through sunflower oil or convenience foods. High-quality omega-3 fatty acids help balance this imbalance.

The study situation is also clear: A Meta-analysis with almost 73,000 participants shows that EPA and DHA contribute to lowering elevated blood lipid levels – especially in people with obesity or cardiovascular disease.
Further review also demonstrates the anti-inflammatory and heart-protective effects – especially of DHA.

Conclusion: Omega-3 supports the body at the cellular level – day after day – and is therefore a valuable foundation for people of all ages.

Which fish is used for the Omega 3 oil?

Only small, fatty marine fish such as anchovies, sardines and mackerel are used for the Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil. These come from selected wild capture areas and will be strict sustainability criteria caught.

All fishing is regulated by the internationally recognized “Friend of the Sea” seal certified – this guarantees responsible use of marine resources, traceability and protection of fish stocks.

The conscious selection of small fish species has the advantage that they naturally have a lower pollutant content and at the same time especially rich in omega-3 fatty acids are the ideal basis for a high-quality and pure fish oil.

In addition, the natural origin creates a complex fatty acid pattern of over 30 different fatty acids – including short- and long-chain, saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. This variety specifically supports the structure and function of cell membranes, as they are balance of stability and flexibility – a crucial prerequisite for healthy cell functions.

What is the recommended daily dose?

The recommended daily dose is 10 ml once daily – simply measure using the enclosed measuring cup, pour pure onto a spoon and best take with a meal.

Important to know: According to EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), the total intake of EPA and DHA from all sources should not exceed 5 g per day.

Is marine omega-3 better than vegan omega-3 from algae?

Both marine and vegan Omega-3 can provide a high-quality supply of the essential fatty acids EPA and DHA enable – but there are differences:

Vegan Omega-3: It mostly comes from microalgae and contains mainly DHA, while EPA is present only in small amounts or not at all. However, EPA is also important – for example, for heart function and lipid metabolism.

Marine Omega-3 like high-quality fish oil naturally provides both fatty acids in an ideal balance. Our Premium Natural Omega-3 Oil contains per daily dose 1,460 mg EPA and 910 mg DHA – and additionally a natural fatty acid complex from over 30 different fatty acids. Due to the particularly gentle processing, the oil remains as natural and pure, which makes it a particularly high-quality source for daily omega-3 intake.

Those who eat a purely plant-based diet can Algae oil as an alternative. For everyone else, marine omega-3 offers a more comprehensive and generally more bioavailable supply.

Why no capsules?

Our Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil is deliberately offered in liquid form to natural structure, the purity of fatty acids and a best possible bioavailability. Capsules require additional processing steps and usually contain excipients or capsule materials, which could compromise product quality.

With the liquid form, we want to offer a high-quality alternative to classic capsule products – with versatile application possibilities. Whether pure from the spoon, in a smoothie, over a salad, in fruit juice or even in homemade mayonnaise – the oil can be flexibly and tastefully integrated into everyday life.

How pure and high-quality is the fish oil used?

Our Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil consists of 100% natural fish oil from carefully selected wild fishing areas. The fishing is carried out according to strict guidelines for sustainable fishing & is awarded the internationally recognized “Friend of the Sea” seal certified.

To ensure the highest purity, the oil is controlled according to Norwegian standards and regularly tested for contaminants such as heavy metals and PCBs. It is specifically purified without altering the natural structure of the fatty acids. A corresponding quality control certificate is available for inspection.

The oil is cold-pressed and as unprocessed as possible, which preserves the delicate omega-3 fatty acids in their natural form. This gentle processing contributes to high bioavailability & effectiveness.

The Totox value, a recognized indicator of freshness and oxidation stability, is 7.7 (measured before adding the natural lemon oil) – and thus within an excellent range. Since this is a natural product, the Totox value may fluctuate slightly between batches, but remains consistently low thanks to regular monitoring.

The oil is except for the natural lemon oil and natural vitamin E (antioxidant for freshness & stability) free from additives.

With a daily dose of 1,460 mg EPA and 910 mg DHA, the oil offers a above-average content of marine omega-3 fatty acids – significantly more than many conventional products. The ratio of EPA to DHA is also optimally balanced to specifically support key bodily functions such as heart¹, brain², and vision³.

What is the Totox value?

The Totox value (Total Oxidation Value) is an internationally recognized quality indicator for the freshness and oxidation stability of fish oils. The lower the value, the fresher the oil. Our Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil has a Totox value of 7.7– an excellent value that is well below the recommended limit of 26.

Since it is a Natural product since this is a very high quality oil, the Totox value may vary slightly between batches. All values are regularly tested and documented, and are consistently low – a sign of the consistently high quality and freshness of our oil.

Does the fish come from sustainable fishing?

Yes, the fish oil used comes from sustainable wild catch. The fish is caught exclusively in selected fishing areas in compliance with strict ecological and quality standards. The entire supply chain is protected by the internationally recognized “Friend of the Sea” seal certified – an independent sustainability label for responsible fishing.

Attention is paid not only to the protection of fish stocks, but also to the preservation of the marine ecosystem and transparent traceability.

Is the fish oil free from pollutants and heavy metals?

Yes – our Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil is regularly updated on Pollutants, heavy metals, PCBs and other residues. It undergoes a specially developed purification process in which unwanted substances are specifically removed without affecting the natural structure of the fatty acids.

Quality control is carried out according to strict Norwegian standards, a current Certificate of Analysis is available for inspection. In addition, the entire supply chain is certified by the internationally recognized “Friend of the Sea”-Seal certified.

This ensures that the oil free from harmful substances – a security that is not guaranteed when eating conventional fish from the supermarket, as it is often not specifically cleaned and tested.

How is the oil processed?

Our MITOcare Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil carries the internationally recognized “Friend of the Sea” label for sustainable fishing – proof of responsible origin and transparent processing along the entire supply chain.

The manufacturing process is optimized for maximum care, naturalness & freshness. The oil is extracted from small, fatty wild fish, cold processed and has a very low Totox value of 7.7 – a recognized indicator of particularly high freshness and low oxidation.

The processing includes several quality-determining steps:

  1. Cleaning: The crude oil is gently freed from unwanted residues such as heavy metals, PCBs and environmental toxins.
  2. Winterization (cold filtration): Turbidity and waxes are removed at low temperatures to improve the stability and purity of the oil.
  3. Finishing steps: The oil is visually and sensorially improved in further gentle processes without affecting the sensitive fatty acids.
  4. Addition of natural vitamin E: As a high-quality antioxidant, it protects the oil from oxidation and supports its shelf life in a natural way.
  5. Formulation: The oil is fine-tuned in its final composition – including natural lemon oil for a fresh taste without a fishy note.
  6. Bottling & Quality Control – each batch is carefully filled and tested in the laboratory to ensure high quality standards.

This controlled process creates a high-quality, natural Omega-3 oil with a balanced complex of over 30 different fatty acids – ideal for daily care and targeted support of Cell membrane structure, heart function, vision and cognitive health.

What is the difference to the other Omega 3s you sell?

The Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil is MITOcare's first own Omega 3 oil, which we include in our product concept of the Principle Causa Logicas in the CL 01 macronutrient level for basic daily nutrition.

A special milestone, because Founder Christian Burghardt has been emphasizing for years the central importance of high-quality fatty acids for health – his credo: “Oils, oils, oils”. With the Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil, this claim has now been implemented directly in the MITOcare product world for the first time.

The most important differences at a glance:

  • Above-average content of EPA (1,460 mg) and DHA (910 mg) per daily dose
  • Complex of over 30 different fatty acids – supports cell membrane structure (since cells require a natural diversity of short- and long-chain as well as saturated and unsaturated fatty acids to maintain the optimal balance between stability and fluidity of their membranes)
  • Cell membrane health in focus
  • High DHA content to support inflammation-regulating processes
  • Sustainable wild-caught with “Friend of the Sea” certification
  • Natural & cold-pressed
  • Very low Totox value of 7.7 (especially fresh)

After opening, please Refrigerator store and consume within 4 weeks. At temperatures below 4 °C, natural flaking may occur – a harmless, purely visual effect in high-quality oils.

Why is the Omega 3 oil bottled in PET bottles?

For our Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil we use BPA-free PET bottles because compared to glass significantly lighter and thus a lower CO₂ footprint during transport. This allows the Sustainably reduce environmental pollution. In addition, PET break-resistant and food-safe, which keeps the oil safely protected – without compromising on quality or durability.

Are there scientific studies on the composition &
Effect of the ingredients?

Yes – the composition of the Premium Natural Omega 3 Oil with a high proportion of EPA (1,460 mg) and DHA (910 mg) per daily dose is based on scientifically sound findings on their effects. The selection and ratio of the two fatty acids are specifically designed to Blood lipid levels, as well as Inflammatory processes and the Cell membrane structure to support.

Two key studies demonstrate these effects:

  1. Choi & Calder (2024) show in a systematic review that DHA has stronger anti-inflammatory effects compared to EPA and additionally the hormone Adiponectin which supports fatty acid breakdown and glucose metabolism. DHA also has a positive effect on heart rate, blood pressure, and oxidative stress markers.
    📄To the study on PubMed
  2. Wang et al. (2023) In a meta-analysis with almost 73,000 participants, they analyzed the relationship between omega-3 intake and lipid metabolism. Dose-dependent, linear reduction of triglycerides and non-HDL cholesterol – especially when taking 2 g of EPA/DHA per day or more.
    📄To the study on PubMed

The targeted combination of high DHA content and over 30 naturally occurring fatty acids was deliberately chosen to optimally support cell membrane structure – with a balanced mix of long and short chain fatty acids for the ideal balance of Stability and fluidity.
