Water is the body's main substance, followed by proteins. These in turn consist of amino acids, which are often referred to as the "building blocks of life". The body's own proteins are components of organs, tissue and cells, including muscles and bones, for example. Some proteins are better utilised by the body at night than during the day. Sleep therefore plays a major role in various metabolic processes in the body.

The product Amino Acids Night & Recovery* is a balanced mixture of amino acids, vitamins, manganese and zinc. The vitamin C it contains supports cell protection against oxidative stress1,2 and healthy collagen formation3 - even during sleep. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal protein metabolism4 and to balanced hormonal activity5. Zinc also contributes to healthy carbohydrate6, fatty acid7 and acid-base metabolic processes8 as well as to normal DNA synthesis9.
