What role does creatine play for skin, hair, and nails?
Creatine is increasingly being discussed as a beauty topic. The idea behind it: since creatine supports the energy supply of cells, it could fundamentally also benefit the cells responsible for skin, hair, and nails. However, there is little reliable evidence for this. While creatine does not appear to promote hair loss, it is unclear whether it actively contributes to stronger nail growth or radiant skin.
Creatine for Men: Focus on Muscle Growth & Strength
Among athletes, creatine is popular, not least because it can increase physical performance during high-intensity exercise as part of short-term, intense physical activity: if you demand maximum performance from your muscles within a short period, creatine acts like a power booster.
It can also promote water retention in the muscles. What sounds like an undesirable side effect is beneficial for bodybuilding: water retention can support muscle mass gain. The combination of readily available energy and "full" muscles can lead to faster visible results.
How quickly does creatine help build muscle?
As a supplement, the substance does not directly affect muscle building. With regular intake, initial results can be observed after about two or three weeks. However, individual factors such as age, fitness level, and diet play a role.
