The story behind methylene blue:
Methylene blue (methylthioninium chloride) is a bright blue synthetic dye developed by the chemist Heinrich Caro in 1876. His discovery is considered a milestone in the chemical industry, as methylene blue was one of the first deliberately produced tar dyes. This led to a lasting change in textile dyeing and laid the foundation for modern dye technologies.
Due to its chemical stability and specific binding properties, it continues to find diverse applications in laboratories, technology, and research. Over time, surprising discoveries have been made about the versatile uses of this substance.
